As the 7th OVERALL pick in 2023, he has not lived up to expectations. Will this be his last season or perhaps he's a trade piece in upcoming draft.

Still dont understand why we picked him over Carter. And yes before someone comes with the Carter draft slide owed to the allegations on him, he was picked just 3 picks later and had no issues whatsoever other than that incident.
Wilson on the other hand was also a high potential draft choice, but had just recovered from an injury during his final college season so there were bigger doubts on his health as compared to doubts on Jalen’s behaviorial issues.
I highly doubt the team is gonna pick up his 5th year option by May 1st

Better if they trade him for anything
A move to DT would do him good. Based on his athletic profile he could shine as a 4i/5 tech. Hopefully the new coaching staff is able to inject some new life, he has such high upside
i want to see what he has in the new system before i completely write him off
He might be a better 3-4 DE? Still not worth his contract
nah he’s just a bust
This is still such a head scratch of a pick. Raw player with a foot injury over some really good prospects. Look at the next picks off the board. The Raiders are the guy you want to sit next to in the card game because after we pick come all-pro picks.
2023 Draft
1-7: Raiders – Tyree Wilson
1-8: Falcons – Bijan Robinson
(1st Team All Pro, 2nd Team All Pro, 2x Pro Bowl)
1-9: Eagles – Jalen Carter
(2nd Team All Pro, 2x Pro Bowl)
1-10: Bears – Darnell Wright
(2nd Team All Pro)
1-11: Titans – Peter Skoronski
(Solid starting guard)
The worst one for me is the guy I pounded the table for that year. Christian Gonzalez. I loved Jalen Carter’s talent but understood. Gonzalez though was a big need and a really good player.
Henry Ruggs scared us off Jalen Carter (PR optics) and this is what we got
Tbh I’ve already given up all expectations on Tyree. If he plays well this season great, but I’m not holding my breath.
It’s over. I’m not even that mad about him being a bust. Thought it was a great pick and his injury made him slip imo and it just didn’t work out. Maybe some coaching is to blame but the ceiling was high and the floor was low. We just didn’t luck out. We’ll see him stick around like Ferrell but, it isn’t happening with us.
He’s gonna be like other dlinemen we gave up on and be a decent starter elsewhere
Most likely we will let him go in free agency, yes. The team will certainly decline his 5th year option.
But if he puts in decent work this off-season and plays well in the 3-4 early on the season, I think we should consider extending him, so long as the contract is reasonably. I keep thinking about how Denico Autry (and to a lesser degree, Clelin Ferrell) played better in their 2nd contact with another team. To be clear, I’m not saying we should consider paying Wilson like a former top 10 pick. But I think the lack of general talent in our front 7 (other than Maxx obviously) had made some of our defensive draft picks look worse than they are.
I never cared that he was the “right” pick at the time. I want nothing to do with any player coming off a major injury/surgery. Especially one like a lisfranc injury that not only lingers, but is directly related to the first thing you do, which is push off. I dont care if the player we skipped because of that turns into an all pro. There is more downside that up.
He and Tre Tucker could be moved before the trade deadline if they don’t explode. That’s better than letting them go for free
I forgot he existed.
How many more times will I give this man a chance…
Dude fucking sucks and does not belong in the NFL.
Without a doubt yes since they declined his 5th year option.
He played decent last year on a terrible team.
New coaching staff but since Rob Leonard is the d coordinator should be familiarity.
Idk on paper this is one of the best defense teams we’ve had. We really only need a few more pieces we can get in the draft.
But yeah this is his make or break it year. No way would the team pick up his 5 year option if he doesnt improve
Absolutely
He’s done
Imagine trading a top 10 first round pick and only giving the player a one year deal😂😂 I’ll trust spyteks judgement here
We have so many D lineman if we draft a few he might not even get a chance this year.

We had the chance to get Christian Gonzalez.
