  2. Rumors are Chiefs are asking about trading up to 3 or 4. Obviously, they have made calls. We don’t know how serious Veach is about it. But he’s probably only moving up that high to take David Bailey and doesn’t believe that Bailey will fall out of the top 5.

    This also tells me that Veach has a much higher grade on Bailey than Rueben Bain. Otherwise, he would wait for Bain to fall to 9 or call the Browns to try and move up to 6 when Bain is still likely there.

    It’s difficult to imagine Veach trading up that high this year for anybody other than Bailey. I have mixed thoughts about this. It is certainly very risky, and we would have to trade away picks to get him. On the other hand, Bailey is the best pass rusher in the class. And Jones is 32 and Karlaftis is not good enough to be the main pass rusher on a Super Bowl winning team.

    Can Bailey become a 12 to 15 sack guy? I think so. He projects that way. The path towards another Super Bowl gets very difficult to map out without an impact rusher.

    I understand the logic. And that is, we probably can’t win another Super Bowl without a true pass rusher 1. But again, it is risky.

  3. We need a distraction from the dumpster fire that is the Royals’ hitting this week.

    At least they finally got off their ass about the downtown stadium thing, although I’ll eat my hat if it’s actually finished in 2030 like Q is claiming.

  4. I’d very much rather take an edge, but IF we take a WR the only one I’m interested in is Tyson. He’s the only one of the WRs I can see being a superstar and true needle mover. Very scary injury history and his 2025 film is not as fluid as his 2024 but he got much bigger in 2025
