11. Maason was actually getting projected to be a first round pick at LSU.
    He tore his ACL during the first game of 2022 and came back in 2023 and didn't have a great season. He's some years away from that injury and it takes some guys longer to recover. Maybe we get the best version of him.

12. I was ready to send him packing after year one my guy..I just didn't see a motor, a disruptor or anything from him to continue to retain a roster spot. I don't blame him though, he didn't draft himself. We trimming the fat Smitty, this may not be the last move we make.

17. Someone who "could" fit (run stopper) for someone who didn't (worst against run) is a win. Even if rotational, non-starter. Definitely feel better if wanting to prioritize WR or CB in second round knowing we've improved DT need. Get another DT in a much later round for depth/competition
