  1. Go Cubs – the best possible situation at the end of game COMBINED with the most questionable managerial decision

  2. Everyone in the NL Central with a winning record! Who’s eating all those losses?

  3. Go Cubbies. As a Phillies fan we somehow are not this bad lol. As soon as Kimbrel went in I knew what the outcome would be.

  4. 11 L’s straight is diabolical. It’s like no one told them its not September yet

  5. How sweet it is got the win off of kimbrel as well ….. welcome back to the friendly confines

  6. I’m changing my flair to the Mariners now

ahhhh there we go now I have the power of big dumper’s glutes and jrod’s smexy mogger face

  7. Blame the pitching all you want, and they deserve their share of the blame. But truthfully, the real reason the Mets lost this game was on the other side of the ledger. One run, AGAIN. You don’t normally win games 1-0. You can’t expect the Mets to win many games scoring 2 runs or less just about every game. Of course, it takes everything going wrong for a losing streak to reach 11 games. I’m going to check right now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Mets have the fewest runs of any team in baseball right now. The offense is offensive and unwatchable at this point.

I just checked, and I was almost spot on. The Mets are the second worst in MLB with 72 runs, just behind the Royals, who got waxed by the Yankees this weekend and scored even fewer runs than the Mets today, with 71. Both have played 22 games and both have identical 7-15 records (those records themselves are the worst in MLB). That’s just over 3.2 runs a game each.
