Weird that catcher’s interference doesn’t count. I get that it’s scored as an E2, but functionally it’s the same as an HBP – something out of the batter’s control that results in them taking first base.
One of those weird things – catcher’s interference also doesn’t count towards OBP, so it’s at least consistent.
Kinda rude not counting errors. If you get on. You’re on base. Who cares how?
