8. Lots of people understandably hitting the panic button over Okamoto's struggles at the plate, but you don't get a pedigree of success like he has without exceptional talent and ability. The mental/emotional adjustment is not the same for every Japanese player coming to MLB: many teams have at least one resident Japanese player to give support to a new one joining the team but the Jays don't – so for Okamoto it's probably a big hurdle to deal with the culture shock and feel comfortable in his new situation. He may already be turning the corner and be everything the Jays hoped he would be.
