ESPN being a disaster trying to figure out Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and not knowing that Tage Thompson was drafted by the Blues

There’s not a dozen clips of him saying his own name or anything (or maybe I’m biased bc I repeat it constantly who knows)
Well it’s ESPN. All they cared about over the weekend was WWE.
Unprofessional and lazy. Just normal ESPN things.
They suck for sure. Also didn’t expect Thompson’s voice to sound like that lol
Any series that isn’t covered by SportsNet I just can’t watch. ESPN is so bad.
We’re not asking you to go full “Pierre McGuire”; we just want you do to your homework.
The post game interview on the bench Hextall said the same thing right too him. I was really hoping he would correct her.
Hockey terrorists
You take this nonsense and then add in horrific sound quality and brutal commentators for some games, ESPN is doing a disservice to the NHL and its fans. Worldwide leader, my ass.
Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen is arguably the funnest name in the NHL right now, even my wife that started fantasy hockey this year and drafted him LOVES pronouncing it.. she says it reminds her of the crash bandicoot Aku Aku mask guy
After the games last night they immediately switched to NBA game analysis. ESPN hates hockey.
Can we just have local broadcast teams doing playoff games already? Everyone will be much happier.
BSPN doesn’t know shit about hockey, we know this.
Compared to sportsnet and TNT, these guys pale in comparison.
ESPN is such a joke for hockey lol.
The wife was watching the Dallas/Minnesota game with me (both 🇨🇦) and she was like “why do they keep putting the players name on top of them?” I explain it and then she’s like “wait, why did they stop doing the name thing?” And I didn’t even realize but they did stop highlighting the puck carrier for like 5 minutes.
Everytime a goal is scored the ESPN commentators just sound surprised a goal could even happen. “OOh wow! Kaprizov scored? How did he do that?”
Honestly feel bad for my USA friends if this is the quality of broadcast they get.
You’d think someone would have bothered to look up how to pronounce it.
Give me any other broadcast. I’d rather watch in another language.
