    Did no one think to test it and keep the billion dollar athletes safe?

  15. Those dinky ass superimposed trophies on the court last year were the sorriest thing I’ve seen in pro sports. Like they used ms paint and copy pasted them on there.

  24. I think what really was the tipping point is they were willing to go full hog making special courts for their in season oil money sports gambling fueled cup tournament and yet the Finals ended up having the every day courts used.

    Once they did that there was no way to spin it away from just making themselves look cheap. If you can paint it for the tournament your latest winning team, who hasn’t won anything in over 50 years couldn’t be assed to hang a banner for, you can’t do it for the Finals? To what, save a few thousand bucks in floor tiles?

    Just makes the whole league look like the new Blazers owner. Backed themselves into a corner with this one, fortunately they did the right thing instead of trying to weasel their way out of it.
