Juan Soto hasn’t spoken to Mets teammates ‘at all’ during historic losing streak

  1. That was a dumb thing to say out loud. There’s got to be a way to dance around it and give a better answer than that.

  2. Can’t believe we traded so much for him. Glad we didn’t give him the bag though afterwards.

  3. Oh boy ! I was just talking about this , and wondering if the club house had become a hostile atmosphere.

  4. This guy is such a total asshole. He’s never cared about his teammates and building a winning culture.

  5. “I’m the only winner on this team. The rest of ’em, they’re losers. Either by choice, or by birth.” – Juan Soto, probably.

  6. Somebody probably caught him with the “JINX”! Juan is probably just waiting for somebody to say his name.

  7. You get the sense Soto never wanted and to be on the Mets; and maybe still doesn’t. It’s just they gave him the most money and met all his demands. He’s basically a mercenary.

  8. As a Royals fan I can’t thank the Mets enough for who they are and how they perform one game at a time!

  9. It was always obvious and now even more obvious since the ink has dried and the contract is in year 2, that Soto went for the most money and the most perks offered to him, but since he’s received the perks and the money is guaranteed, he can’t even pretend to want to be on the team paying him.

He hates being a Met. He never wanted to be a Met.

And he might be looking over at the Yankees and wishing he’d taken $2.25M less per season and a few less perks to actually be happy on his club.

Is he even gonna think back fondly and feel relieved about the extra $5M and the perks the Mets won the bidding war with? Probably not. I bet he already knows they weren’t worth it.
