The Mets’ 9-19 start is their worst through 28 games since 1983, and they’ve now been swept in four of their last five series They’ve scored zero or one run in 10 games, the most in MLB

  1. If you watch this team play (and why would you) they legitimately don’t look like they give a shit.

  2. Is this Mets team worse than the White Sox or Rockies from prior years? No.

    Are they more embarrassing? Easily.

  3. Can’t believe the NYM had the audacity to win a game to break their 12 games losing streak. They could’ve been making more history today.

  4. David Stearns is a straight up fucking baseball terrorist. The Nimmo Semien trade, signing Devin Williams, “fixing” the rotation by trading for a pitcher who routinely cant throw more than five innings, signing a bunch of injury prone players to play out of position, expecting a rookie who had poor AAA numbers to be the starting right fielder and the worst part of all- having absolutely no depth in the case of injuries.

How did he spend this much money on a team with this many issues? And then not firing Mendoza after the collapse last year but firing every other coach instead. I went into the season optimistic and I feel like an idiot for thinking the roster was put together decently at all.

  5. Who else didn’t realize that the Mets’ 3-1 and 3-0 losses to the Rockies today were actually different games?

  6. Fun to mock the Mets but as a White Sox fan, I hate this. No need to give Jerry an anecdote for why he shouldn’t spend.

  7. Team collapses because of pitching so Stearns genius plan was to get rid of 2 of the best hitters on the team and the only good reliever and replace them with garbage lmao

  8. At this point, the only thing driving the Mets / Phillies rivalry is the battle for last place

  9. Everyone is clowning on Stearns for his emphasis on run prevention but we are the fools – he was talking about preventing the Mets from scoring runs

  10. The Rockies have honestly not been that bad to start. The 9th inning has been their weak point but their pitching has been much better

  11. What do you do with this team like genuine question.

The pitching for the most part has been competent. It’s the hitting. You have people who we know are not this bad and people who we’ve seen can do it at the major league level all looking like AA players offensively. And this after cleaning house on most of the players and coaching staff. What do you do?

I’m so jealous of the Yankees and Dodgers I just want to watch a good baseball team year in and out make the playoffs and see what happens. And I thought that’s what we were getting with Cohen but nope it’s the same crap. I’m so over this team.
