Fox (21 & 9) Takes Over Late & Wemby (17/14/6 BLK) Makes History 🔥 Spurs Advance | April 28, 2026

De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama delivered in a statement closeout win as the Spurs defeated the Trail Blazers 114-95, winning the series 4-1 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

Fox took over late in the game, closing things out in the clutch with a steady all-around performance of 21 points and 9 assists, helping San Antonio pull away in the fourth.

Wembanyama followed with a historic playoff performance in his first career clinching game, finishing with 17 points, 14 rebounds (playoff career high), and 6 blocks.

At just 22 years, 114 days, Wemby becomes the youngest player since blocks were officially tracked (1973–74) to record 15+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 5+ blocks in a clinching playoff win, joining Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players age 22 or younger to ever hit those marks.

He also continues his dominant defensive stretch, becoming just the third player in Spurs history to record 13+ blocks over a two-game playoff span, alongside Tim Duncan and David Robinson.

Julian Champagnie added 19 points and 5 threes in the win.

  1. i noticed POR was down 20 in the 4th and cut the lead to 10, i couldnt watch, what was the reason the spurs gave up a bit of the lead there?

  2. What was with the officiating in this game in the 4th quarter. The whole game they were practically allowing them to play tackle football with each other, and then all of the sudden in the 4th everything was a foul? It's either playoff basketball and you let them play, or it's the regular season and you call the whole game tight. You can't just switch it up like that so quickly.

  3. Spurs have the most well-built roster surrounding their superstar. Shooters, versatile wings, elite guard play & plenty backup centers to cover him. Also great vets such as Fox & Barnes. No real holes in this team outside of maybe a true PF but with how they defend & Wemby’s size, they technically don’t really need one

  4. Blows my damn mind that anyone was sleeping on fox. Anytime I checked the stats he was literally the second highest performing player on the team. Not disrespecting castle, but the “duo” of the spurs being “Area 51” is just ridiculous. Fox is the second best player on the team by a mile.

  5. Fox was surgical. Harper was very effective for a rookie in 25 minutes.
As long as they have 3 players that have a god game alongside Victor they are tough to beat, bu the opposition will get stronger and stronger as the playoffs go.
