  12. Wemby is goated because he’s developing play by play & is still dominating. It’s kinda scary cause when he starts to be more confident in his game it’s really nothing you can do.

  13. imagine if castle and the spurs didnt made a lot of TOs,because those TO turned into 18 or 20 pts for okc.. they also didnt shot well on 3s ..ans fox not playing.. game 2 will be a better spurs…

  16. 6:26 French journalist : We all knew about Dylan Harper’s offensive talent. But if you could talk a little about his defensive impact—are you still surprised by what he’s capable of? And do you see him as someone with superstar potential, as a true two-way player?

    Victor Wembanyama : Oh, absolutely. We rely on him a lot on both ends of the floor. It’s just amazing. Watching him from the bench is incredibly impressive. When I’m sitting there and he’s one of our main offensive options, it’s really, really impressive to watch. What shocks me the most, as always, is his maturity at his age. And I’m not even old! (laughs) He’s still two years younger than me, and his maturity is just unbelievable. The way he controls his body—it’s beautiful.

    Journalist : Victor, during a game like this, do you have the sense—or even the time to realize—that you’re living through something legendary, something that could go down in NBA history? And can you talk about playing 49 minutes, about all the work you’ve done on your body to sustain that kind of intensity for that long? I think that’s your NBA career high, right?

    Wemby : Yeah, for sure. I think it was 45 before that, back in my rookie year. This is only the beginning of the work—I still haven’t had the time to develop as much as I want to, and there are still a lot of games ahead. So nothing’s done yet. But yeah, I’m fully aware that if I’m able to play 49 minutes and still perform for 49 minutes, it’s because of the work we put in over the summer. When I look over and see Guillaume on the sideline as we’re starting that second overtime, I’m just grateful for all the work we’ve put in over the years.

    Journalist : You talked a little earlier about learning. How do you keep learning against a team that’s the defending NBA champion—probably the best team of the last three years? It feels like learning and facing a team that strong aren’t exactly compatible, and yet you’re doing both—and winning. How do you explain that? How do you see it?

    Wemby : Like I said earlier, I think we make up for our lack of experience with our will to win—by playing with intensity and never letting up. At the end of the day, it’s really not more complicated than that. We’re lucky to have great guidance, great coaches, and an organization that gives us excellent advice. So we can lean on that. We can trust the scouting, trust the game plan. And honestly, even when we’re playing a team like that—the defending champs—if we lose, it’ll be because of our mistakes. Not because they’re better than us.
