  1. “the head is the main point of contact” i mean kinda? it’s the chin and chest at the same time. nazar didn’t overextend the elbow at all. game misconduct in the moment sure i get it. shouldn’t be any further suspension. from what the replay shows it’s not an overly malicious hit. horvat is just bending over too much from taking his shot on the empty net and nazar catches him. kept the elbow tucked didn’t lean into the noggin. i see no reason for this to be extra games

  2. Islander home game. Less than 2 minutes left in the game. The refs just wanted to get it over with so they made a fast ruling. Player safety singed off on the ruling without a second thought because they didn't want to contradict their refs.

  3. To me this is clean, and clearly no intent to injure. Leads with the shoulder, doesn’t elevate, and Horvat has his head down. Harsh suspension… I’ve seen much worse get the good ole $5000 fine lol

  4. Laughable. Not a fan of either team, but nazir isn't exactly a dirty hard hitting guy. He literally ran into him and even tucked his arm down to try to minimize it.

  5. Doesn't Horvat have some responsibility to know of his surroundings? After all, he is in the center of the ice, surrounded by others and shooting at an open net, while the opposing team is knowingly desperate to tie the score.
I'd prefer no injuries at all. Totally hope he's fine and back the next game. I simply thought keeping your head on a swivel went without saying in hockey. Help me better understand, here. ✌️
