ESPN is adding two new analysts to its NBA rotation: former New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin and Hall of Fame point guard and coach Jason Kidd.

Kidd joins after he was relieved of his duties as head coach of the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs went 26-56 in Cooper Flagg’s rookie season, and the franchise chose a different direction for his continued development. Lin appeared on a part-time basis for ESPN last season and is now ready to move from the bench to the starting lineup. After an appearance in March, he joined ESPN to cover his former team’s run in the NBA Finals.

The Worldwide Leader in Sports announced its coverage plans for the 2026-2027 NBA season on Thursday. And much of it is the same as last year. Inside the NBA will return with an expanded early-season schedule and as the premier studio show when the playoffs arrive. Last year’s new lead broadcast booth of Mike Breen, Tim Legler, and Richard Jefferson will begin its second season together.

Lin and Kidd are the two new additions to the analyst rotation, joining Jefferson, Legler, Doris Burke, and P.J. Carlesimo on game telecasts. The play-by-play crew includes Breen, Dave Pasch, Ryan Ruocco, Mike Monaco, and Drew Carter. Lisa Salters, Katie George, Malika Andrews, Jorge Sedano, Alyssa Lang, Taylor McGregor, Vanessa Richardson, and Angel Gray will handle sideline reporting.

Jason Kidd will also join NBA Countdown when Inside the NBA has an off night. He will join host Malika Andrews, analyst Kendrick Perkins, and reporters Brian Windhorst and Shams Charania in yet another new combination for the program.

Lin will be a part of NBA Today with Perkins, Windhorst, Charania, Iman Shumpert, Danny Green, Chiney Ogwumike, Jeremy Lin, and Tim MacMahon, all part of the stable.
