The Las Vegas Raiders have had a terrible season, and the next few months of their already-interesting offseason just got a bit more stressful for fans.
Star edge rusher Maxx Crosby has been shut down for the final two games of the season, which Jay Glazer reports made Crosby upset and he left the facility.
“Raiders told Maxx Crosby they want to shut him down last two games,” Glazer reported on X. “Crosby, who has played with injuries for much of the year, vehemently disagreed and has left the building [NFL on Fox] has learned. This could lead to questions on his future in Vegas.”
This now brings up the question of whether or not the Raiders will trade Crosby in the offseason. If they do, just about every team in the NFL will be swinging their elbows to get to the front of the line to pitch a trade. These teams would be the ones to circle, though.
Chicago Bears
History would repeat itself should Crosby be headed to the Windy City. The Raiders traded Khalil Mack to the Bears back in 2018, which led to Chicago winning the NFC North. Now that the Bears seem to have successfully found their long-term head coach and quarterback, landing a superstar edge rusher could take them from good to great and put them in the Super Bowl bubble.
Buffalo Bills
It is approaching “Now or Never” territory for the Buffalo Bills. No Patrick Mahomes, no Joe Burrow, and no Lamar Jackson (likely) in the postseason means the runway is open for the Bills to finally take off. Even if they do win the Super Bowl this season, you know what would be a great way to try and repeat? Land a superstar edge rusher in his prime. Putting Crosby alongside Greg Rousseau and Joey Bosa, should the latter return, would give the Bills a tremendous trio of pass rushers going into the 2026 season.
New England Patriots
Sticking with the AFC East, New England has had an incredible first season under new head coach Mike Vrabel. They currently hold the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs, and could make a deep run into January. Similar to Chicago, they have the head coach and quarterback of the future – throw in Crosby and watch this team get back to hoisting Lombardis.
Dallas Cowboys
Oh, come on, we all know Jerry would do it in a heartbeat. The Cowboys have two first round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and could use one of them in a package to send to the Raiders in exchange for Crosby.Â
Philadelphia Eagles
In the same light, we all know Howie would do it in a heartbeat. If there is a great player on the market, the Eagles will throw their hat in the ring and try to reach an agreement. They were reportedly in on Myles Garrett, and they’ll at least make a call for Crosby.
Washington Commanders
The third team in the NFC East to be given a shout, the Commanders need to do all they can to rebound from a down season and try to win in the window of Jayden Daniels’ rookie contract. They were very active when it came to the trade market this past offseason, and they can make a huge splash in 2026 by acquiring Crosby.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have been one of, if not the best team in the NFL this season, and are one of the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They are second in the NFL in EPA per play, and Mike Macdonald is one of the best defensive minds in the NFL. Adding Crosby to this unit would make them even more unstoppable.
