Thank you jrob for blessing us this day and giving us glorious o-line help! Praise be upon you!
Nice move..had to give up a 5th but that’s what happens when you miss on draft picks..it’s critical to beef up the o-line this year
Trade back to the 7th from the 5th for him in 2024. Not bad at all.
Upgrade over our awful depth guys.
Dennis ~~Kelly~~ Daley
He’s no Orlando Pace but he should be a serviceable backup for multiple spots.
Could’ve used more secondary help, but sure this is fine. No 3D chess being played by JRob on this move.
We need all the OL depth we can get but seems like he primarily plays positions where we are already relatively strong (all things considered)
We know we need line man, anyone have his pff grades and pressures allowed?
Not a lot on him. He was a mid round selection. Seemed to underperform versus the other lineman on the panthers. Possibly was going to be cut.
But, I think he will add good depth to this line and we didn’t have to give up much. Last year played 573 snaps. Had 9 penalties and 3 sacks allowed. Not terrible. He’s also still young at 26, so there’s a chance to develop him.
He’s, played guard and tackle so has some versatility. So either we brought him in as insurance for anyone who goes down or to possibly compete for the RT spot.
“Daley played in 14 games, with nine starts, for Carolina in his rookie season in 2019 and was part of an offensive line that helped Christian McCaffrey become the third player in NFL history with over 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving.”
Could be overselling, but he played mostly LT… Long term Lewan replacement, finally?
Jrob loves these late round pick trades. This is much needed depth.
I don’t know how to feel.
Panthers fans seem to site health being the reason he wasn’t given more opportunity. Seems to be a really good rotation piece when healthy and has shown glimpses of starting caliber play! Seems like a great move!
He is a solid depth piece nothing more nothing less. As a panthers fan I don’t feel entirely happy or mad about it. Which means it was probably a fair trade. FYI he was starting for us when we were SOL, but as a backup you like it
Looking at Daley’s versatility, I see him coming in and playing that 3rd Tackle / Swing position. I believe the Radunz tackle experiment is done and. He’ll probably end up finding a home playing LG eventually taking over from Brewer. Love the way Brewer completes, however his lack of size gets him in trouble with bigger stronger defenders. I wonder if this addiction means Jamarco Jones gets cut?
