    And he also tried to trade for Durant, as did the Celtics and Raptors and several other teams. Nets refused. So again, what was Pat supposed to do? Waste picks on Jerami Grant so we can go from being a 2nd rd exit caliber team to still being a 2nd rd exit caliber team? And if he had wasted picks on Grant, then we wouldnt even have been in the convo for Durant or Spida and these same fans would be saying how dumb he was to use all his assets on a marginal upgrade instead of waiting for the big fish

  5. plain and simple, the FO was not going to gut the team’s future for mitchell. there’s still other ways to build this core into a champion.
