Bro Wut 🤢
Steve Stone believes Tony La Russa will return to the dugout this season, doesn't think White Sox's improved play is tied to his absence in any wayhttps://t.co/VhIVOcRDTt via @mullyhaugh pic.twitter.com/FkBlAZ8sfO

Stoney pony…no.
I think the sample size is too small to determine if the Sox are playing better just because TLR is gone. The biggest difference the last 5 games is they are finally hitting home runs. Are they hitting home runs because TLR isn’t managing?
David Kaplan is reporting the same, which makes me think that this is coming from the white sox.
I was really satisfied with the pseudo firing, using his health as a misdirection.
I don’t really get the initial desire for Jerry to want him here…but I truly don’t understand what desire Tony has to keep doing this shit. I’m 31 fucking years old and I feel Tony’s age. I can’t imagine trying to get through all the shit he likely has to go through at his age. Just stay home, man. Or go to your local Elks club or something.
If he does come back I go back to rooting against the team. I want him gone.
Paul Sullivan also said the Sox need Tony to finish the season. I know he has exclusively bad opinions, but it certainly feels like the Sox want the media to condition us to expect his return sooner rather than later….which if that’s the case just fucking shoot me in the head
Well for fucks sake.
turrible, just turrible
My guess is the Sox will look at the standings with a week or so left in the season. If they are in it still they’ll keep Tony on the side, if they fall out of it he’ll have a final farewell.
Love Stoney, but him and Benetti are the ultimate company men. Always have been, always will be.

Cairo is our *gairo!*
Steve Stone knows what’s up. This was a .500 ish team all year. And they are 1 over right now.
And he already said Tony will probably have the option to return next year. We don’t wanna hear it, but I don’t believe Steve has any reason to lie to us. He could have just not said anything. And he’s not a guy that’s out here running his mouth spitting out hot takes.
Harder to get this guy out of the dugout than it is to get trump out of the news feed.
He’s not wrong. The team is exactly the same under Cairo as under La Russa, even the warts (sloppy defense, weak bullpen outside of the back-end, offense that can’t hit sliders well). The only reason you feel the team is better without Tony is because you hate Tony and are protecting your hatred onto this recent winning skid.
As much as we may dislike Tony, the team apparently loves him.
One thing is for sure the end of this season is going to be fucking wild
Reinsdorf is 86. Is he still of sound mind?
Has he done a single interview this season?
what “improved play”?
