  1. Every stadium that’s been built in the last 10-15 years (and hereafter) should be built as domes. I’ve said this for years, and I’ll die on this hill. I wanna see a football game with **all** facets of the sport: passing, running, defense, special teams, all of it.

My perfect game would be something like 24-21. That means the defenses weren’t *awful* and it didn’t look like middle school recess.

  2. Is it going to be a flood? Otherwise, it’s not a Chicago downpour. As long as our team stays disciplined and stops making egregious mistakes, we should be fine. Has this team never played in the rain? What’s going on with these overreactions?

  3. I wouldn’t call rain worse by any stretch. Anyone from the region would welcome any and all rain the weather gods want to send our way.

  4. Born and raised in the Bay. Moved to the midwest 7 years ago.

There’s a big difference in each regions rain, lol.

  5. We play every game this season in the rain. Oh it’s a dome game. Bam sprinklers go off. Every games a rain game.

  6. As a Bay Area resident: we need this rain badly
As a 9er fan: this couldn’t wait til after game day???

  7. We just need to reschedule all the 49er games to home games and make sure Trey Lance is starting to solve our drought issue!

  8. Week 3 .. will rain.. Calling it.

This has got to be some kind of bad omen.

It’s like our season won’t even start until we play somewhere dry. We won’t know our dry weather offense so to speak.

The good news is we just played in a monsoon and Geno hasn’t played in the rain in years.

  9. I missed the memo when they announced Trey Lance is made of sugar. I hope he doesn’t dissolve.

  10. Chicago resident here.

Last Sunday, I’ve never seen that much rain in my life. The 4th quarter conditions, after the Bears final TD, happened to be the worst of the day.

We’ll never see 6in of rainfall like that again.
