Wow
Good luck Boch!
WHAT
I wish him the best against every team but the Giants. And I can’t wait to see him whenever they come to Oracle next.
This makes me sad 🙁
Fuck off god dammit this sucks
Good thing the hats come in 10-gallon sizes down there…
This is interesting to say the least…was not expecting him to chose the Rangers of all teams to come out of retirement for. Wish him the best of luck.
Also the Rangers visit Oracle from August 11-13 next year, so that’ll be a game to watch
Good luck to Boch. I’ll be happy to see him out there again.
Boch’s genius to me was always knowing when to pull the trigger and make a change, specifically when it came to pitching. The DH and recent pitching rule changes will take away some of Boch’s advantage over other managers, but I still think he will be one of the best managers for the Rangers.
Great hire for the Rangers.
This feels wrong somehow
Happy to see Boch back in a mlb dugout
Nice! It’ll be good to see him in the league again
Going to be very very weird seeing him in a different uni.
bruh
Happy for Boch, Young needs to get him some pitching
Brandon Belt to the Rangers (and back home to Texas) makes a lot of sense now.
Fuck this franchise for letting Bochy go.
Boch started his career in Texas (with the Astros) and crushed the hopes and dreams of the Rangers in 2010. Feels unholy man.
Boch will get into the [top ten in all-time wins](https://www.baseball-reference.com/managers/#manager_register::5) around mid season. Hopefully he can get his career record back above .500 as well (2017-19 really tanked his record).
Interesting that two long time Giants mangers are now managing the two teams in Texas.
I find out about this right as I’m watching the 2010 World Series. How coincidental.
Anyways, glad to have him back, especially on the Rangers of all teams. I wish him nothing but the best. Go get ’em Bruce!
Kinda wonder how he’s gonna do with all of the new rule changes. He loved using relievers for one batter (Javy Lopez) and now there’s a three batter minimum rule.
Regardless, I’m still gonna root hard for him and Kershaw when he eventually joins him 😎
If this is what makes him happy, then I hope it does that.
It pushes his Hall of Fame induction back, and I don’t know if the Rangers rebuild is far enough along that they’ll be a contender. But if he doesn’t want to spend all his time fishing, then so be it.
Forever Giant, Bruce Bochy, all the best to him.
The saddest thing about this is that pulling an old school manager out of retirement hardly ever works. Boch should have left his legacy intact.
Will be extra sad if they add Ron Wotus too 🙁
The real question is, does he keep doing those Cheese Steak Shop commercials?
Rooting for him.
I’m not okay y’all.
Wish him the best over there. I’m sad he didn’t “retire” with the Giants but I’m sure he missed the game and being a skipper. Hopefully he turns it around for Texas.
I’m so bummed lol. Happy for Boch I guess but I really wish he was still managing the Giants
nobody really retires. I mean tom Brady left spending time with his family to play football for millions which is the morally right thing to do. of course divorced losers probably say that so maybe not the best thing to quote them on…
This means good news regarding his heart issues right?
I’m happy for Boch!
The way he handles the batting order definitely needs to evolve a bit (the fact that he kept Brandon Belt in the 6th and 7th spots for the majority of his tenure was a travesty), but I never lost faith in his ability to manage a pitching staff (the second half of 2016 being the lone exception in that regard).
Go Rangers.
These all star managers just can’t stop
Good Luck Boch! Happy to see his health is good enough to manage again. But it does make my heart sad to see him return to another team. Wishing for the best for Bochy and can’t wait to see him return to Oracle Park
