Aha I don’t blame him. Learning a second language as an adult is tough. Kudos to Podz for being a translator and helping him
What a gem!
He sounds just the tiniest bit like Peter Lorre and it’s great
Reminds me of Munenori Kawasaki interviews when he was a Blue Jay!
Multi pass
It sure seems like Kuzmenko has great instincts around the opposition net. It’s great to see his character come through in interviews like this, and I hope he has a great first season in the NHL and likes playing in Vancouver enough to want to stay here. He’s only signed for this season.
Instant favourite for many reasons!
Very common. Had bilingual francophone roommate. When he got sleepy and exhausted, he got more french. And he already had a perfect understanding of English
Two of the most lovable guys in the NHL right there
Can’t get over how quickly Podz picked up English. He’s still far from fluent of course but considering he had a translator with him at the beginning of last season and now he’s doing the translating in decently complete sentences and understanding reporters’ vocabulary? Pretty impressive. English is HARD to learn.
