It’s time, despite all he’s done for the team, his health just doesn’t stand up anymore. He made some defensive plays that looked like CGI, and when his bat got hot, he was winning games for the Giants. But every player comes to a point where his body will increasingly be unable to deliver, so I understand them letting him go.
