Lamar stevens!!!


right before the season i asked people on here if they thought Lamar had a chance at being a rotational player, lot of the people that did reply said they didn’t think it’d be very possible for him to get any real playing time and look at him now starting and making a pretty big impact! (i know caris levert is out so he’s getting extended minutes) but i think even when caris comes back i really like the starting sf to either be lamar stevens or dean wade.
don’t know really know where else to go with this post just kind of crazy how we went from wondering if he was gonna be in the rotation at all to now starting !

  2. I think he’s doing the best he can, hitting some threes too but Wade seems the best fit with LeVert coming off the bench at this point. The problem will come in the playoffs where JB won’t have a 10 man rotation (Mobley, Allen, Mitchell, Garland, Love, Rubio are a lock for playing time already).

  3. I loved hearing from Mitchell that Stevens is the one who challenged him to play better defense. Stevens seems to have had a huge impact on their defensive energy and it’s paying dividends.

  4. I do think he’s a great fit for the starting group. We don’t need a guy that’s insanely gifted offensively in the starting 5 because there is so much scoring on the floor already. We just need a guy that will play hard on the defensive end and can hit a shot when he’s open and I think Lamar does both.

    I prefer him over Wade as well just because the starting 5 needs that enforcer type dude out there and I think he fits that role better than Wade does. Not saying he is Draymonds level skill wise but I think he can be a similar type player for us.

  5. I wish LeVert and Love both played less. I love Kevin of course but he is so slow and bad on defense. We have looked so good these past few games with our other wings like Lamar getting more minutes.

  7. I never saw this post but im right there with you. Since the first game I was like “Where is Lamar?! We need him he’s a dawg!” I am so happy with this team and how things are panning out. I know we are figuring everything out but I was suprised Lamar wasnt an obvious choice right off the bat
