1. That’s the thing why trying to call every single letter of the law carry its a no win exercise in hurt feelings. The human eye can only perceive so much so fast and then process the decisions to call it or not.

   From a fans perspective it’s simply not fun, and unless a carry is aggregious we’re not interested in seeing them. I don’t even care that Luka wasn’t called for some travels on the competitive point of view. I more care about the enjoyment of the game. Who wants to see Steph or Luka get hit with ticky tack calls in a “game of the year” type contest? Nobody on earth. Except the ref that is trying to get an top rating on his annual evaluation cuz that is the POE… they purposefully motivated the refs to search for these ridiculous calls.

   The vision and perception of the refs isn’t uniformly accurate/precise. So asking them to call them all by the letter results in some refs anticipating travels and trying too hard to catch them all.

   You are asking very good refs to be PERFECT… and what actually is happening is they are performing worse.

   Perfect gets in the way of very good. The letter of the law obscures the spirit of the law.

3. As someone to eloquently in another sub, Luka is a Superstar and Poole’s trash so we should stop complaining about it. the Superstar treatment in a nutshell..

5. Were people bitching about “carrys”? Why did the league get so uptight about this year?

6. If you want perfection then start using AI and assign a overview ref. What happen to making the game flow? This is ridiculous.

7. Our guys do it too. And agree that in real time, certain movements are hard to predict. We need the refs to call it both ways. But I do not like them trying to midseason making some type of universal decision to make certain calls. Give the players warnings over the off-season.

   I love the NBA, but man, this season seems hard to watch with all the stoppage of play, foul calls, reviews, etc. I don’t know what they can do about it. Every teams fan base complains about fouls. They need to fix this. Basketball is a beautiful game when it’s not stopped all the time.

9. Calls for Warriors opponents are at an all time low, since the 2000s. Utterly disgusting, especially watching the MJ and Kobe prime eras. Those guys got away with everything, and Warriors get called, even when the violations don’t exist, or the same calls don’t happen for the opposite team, as shown here.
