  1. I think we all knew we’d get three years at most. Unless we have a massive coaching change that sparks his interest, he’s going to a real contender after this season. I don’t blame him. Sucks for us, but it’ll also allow this team to try and build for the future.

We’ll see. Licht has made some good draft picks but also some dogwater picks. So that future is anything but certain.

  2. I still think the most likely scenario is retirement. However, with the divorce, that certainly leaves the door open for playing in 2023. Brady has talked in the past about how it takes a few years to truly develop chemistry with WRs in a system. I’m sure he takes that into consideration when deciding if he would return to Tampa or go to a completely different team. I just don’t see him wanting to start over with a new team for perhaps his final season.

  3. With all due respect to OP, but this is the type of post that should be removed. There are no quotes in the article and is just a huge pile of guesswork that ultimately ends up being, maybe he stays, maybe he leaves, maybe retires? *Shrug*

  4. He is gone. He clearly didn’t want to be there ( see Miami and Sean Payton). Nothing can tarnish his legacy , but he needs to let it go. Don’t want to see him getting carried off on a stretcher as his final NFL moment. Seems like another legend that doesn’t know what to do with his life after sports. For all the glory that professional athletes can obtain playin, it’s really just a snap shot of your life. Even a long sports life ends early in your overall life. So it’s like what do I do now? I trained and lived out my ultimate dream but I still have 30+ years of life left, what’s my motivation and purpose going forward? Most people work until they die or don’t retire until they at least 65 years of age or older.

  5. Don’t see him up and leaving his kids to be fair. If he did go he’d go another Florida team which seems unlikely since miami and Tua are all in, and Jacksonville have Lawrence.

  6. If he does choose to play, there’s very little reason to stay with Bucs. Coaches are awful, and refuse to change despite it being really clear what they should do. Cap situation is a mess. Recent drafts have been poor.

If, say, the 49ers came calling, what would Brady be thinking? A top 2 offensive mind in the NFL or Byron fucking Leftwich. Or the Raiders, with Brady’s favourite coach.

  7. he will 100% play another year but unless you see a headline Sean Payton to the bucs it won’t be here. he obviously wants to work with Payton before he retires and Payton wants to work with him.

the dream would be for the raiders to drop their coach and we get him as oc lol.

  8. Man, I want him back so much, but I wonder if he’ll be looking at the OL; our cap issues; and the coaching issues and wondering if there’s a team out there that is in a better position to win a SB than we are.

  9. He’s going to Miami. He lives in Miami, the mother of his kids live in Miami, he gets to play against Boston 2-3 times a year, the sponsorship opportunities are better, it’s “cooler”, the coach is better, he jives with the owner and he already has an implicit understanding he will become the head of football ops upon retirement there.

  10. I won’t even be mad if he leaves. I totally understand that the coaching staff fucked yo his chance retiring w Tampa

  11. We knew this is was gonna happen the reality is we need to figure out who his replacement is.

The draft probably isn’t gonna be it for us but Free Agency is likely to have a few options given TB12 isn’t the only QB miscoached this year (and heck some have already been thrown to different teams.)

We need to get rid of Leftwich no matter what though and Bowles needs to step back down to Defensive Coordinator.
