Brian: I think Tatum has been very good in this series, but it’s still entirely fair to criticize him for not being consistently great. If he’s going to be a top 10 player in this league, this is the time of year he has to be great. That’s the air he’s in, now. There’s no excuse

  1. He’s not wrong. I think Tatum has had good quarters in this series, but he hasn’t put together a complete game like Booker, Curry, Fox, Butler, AD, or Embiid have. All those guys have had a great game on both ends of the ball at least one game so far. Tatum’s got another chance to set the tone and lead the team. I hope he does so

  2. Tatum has not been very good, he’s in the “superstar” pedestal, superstars are not just very good good they are great. He’s been average to good at best still has not put a whole great game in this series.

  3. We’re just posting random NBA tweets now? This is some common knowledge shit

  4. We haven’t really seen him take over 4th quarters and close a team out. That’s what your great players and mvps do on a regular basis

  5. What’s the best a guy can be without efficient shooting? Who is the most impactful player in the league that doesn’t shoot well?

  6. Tatum’s issue is that the dude takes some of the lowest efficiency shots ever. It’s incredible when he’s making them but he still has periods where he jacks up awful 3s and never drives to the paint.

  7. Non Celtics who’s been following the series, Tatum just isn’t shooting the ball well. He’s been great at everything else though

  8. Glad we got the opinion of some random dude known only to us as “Brian”

  9. And the fact is you do not win a championship in this league without one of the very best players. Not just “top-10” – a guy who is in the argument for best player in the league. Tatum doesn’t belong in that conversation til he becomes a more consistent, dominant postseason player – and the Celtics aren’t winning a championship unless he steps up like that kind of player. That’s how this league works.

  10. He seems scared of Embiid on his drives. Embiid just standing there appears to deter him almost every time.
