Every Time I See A Post About Trading Dame For Anything

A bird in the hand……

  1. Trading the future away for fringe all star players isn’t going to turn us into contenders either. People don’t want to trade Dame to draft another Dame. People want to trade Dame because there’s no player available for the rest of our assets that truly turns us into contenders. Siakam/OG/KAT/Bridges, none of them turn us into contenders. You can save this comment and come back in a year when you’re raging about how much we suck after trading away the future, bet.

  2. At the same time, the “boat” we already have has been perennial 1st round exits lol

  3. The sad truth is we are losing Dame either way. Father time is undefeated, as they say.

Do we move on now when we has peak value and start a new generation, or do we hold on and mortgage the future in an attempt to compete now?

The problem with the mortgage the future plan is we HAVE to make it work in the next 3 years. At that time Dame will be 36 and making $63 million per year so contending will be over.

Failing to do so removes our assets and sets up the next generation (Sharpe etc) for failure, kind of like how not trading LMA set up the Dame Era for failure
