  1. One way or the other they should get this done. Think about all the linemen we have gone through all these years to get to this one

  2. I could be wrong, but Idk that I’ve seen JD give a contract longer than 3 years and usually with the guarantees only in the first 2 years tops. I think nearly all of them have been FAs as well.

The JFM deal was extending an in house player and was also really similar in terms of structure.

It’ll be interesting to see how this shakes out for the first high profile draft pick he’s had to work out a second contract with.

  3. Maybe he can spend a couple weeks in a dark room then come back and sign.

  4. I mean the way players are doing it Q should only take a 3/4 year deal. You get paid, & in 3 years if you keep dominating you get another juice deal.

I forgot which O-line is doing it but he has 3 contracts & each one get bigger & bigger. Think it was Tunsil.

  5. He liked a tweet that also says “sources fully expect it to get done” I say good sign but nothing we really didn’t expect. We know Q is getting paid and remaining a Jet!!

  6. Who would’ve thought Joey Jets had sources. Shouldn’t surprise me from this fanbase tho

  7. My guess is Jets will go 5 years with a takeoff from percentage guaranteed pay of the DT precedents from this offseason, or 4 years at something very slightly above the precedents in both AAV and guaranteed money.

That would support liking this tweet given the last sentence.
