  1. Hope the kid can find his groove back. He looks completely defeated

  2. It was unfortunate that it came to this, but it had to be done. Hopefully, he gets the assistance he needs down there.

It would have been great to have Doc around to help
    😞

  3. All good give Alek some time to build confidence and hopefully we can get this guy back to form. We saw what he could do. Hopefully he can tweak it back and we’ll see him soon.

  4. What makes the league so complex? Honestly think he just needs to relax and simplify things. He will make it back. His drive is unstoppable.

  5. i really hope time away from MLB will help him mentally with all the pressure, and he can work on his mechanics. rooting for Big Puma!

  6. Had to happen. You can’t make the argument that we have nobofy to replace him because anybody could replace him right now

  7. Here’s hoping this is the best thing that has ever happened to him professionally.

  8. Rebuild mechanics. He’s got the talent we all know that. Let him sit players down level after level on his climb back to the bigs. He’s got the mindset too, once the confidence returns. And he’s got the storyline now, starting from rock bottom… fulfill his own destiny while out of the spotlight… all a recipe for redemption.

  9. So is someone going to sit him down and have an honest conversation with him about his weight or is that too taboo

  10. Will he actually be pitching in Rookie Ball games lol or was this move done just to give him all the resources at the Spring Training complex, where he’ll work on his own away from the team?

  11. This is the right move.

I believe in the Big Puma. He’ll be back once he gets this sorted out and the AL East isn’t the division where things can be sorted out.

  12. He’ll bounce back from this. Halladay got sent down and he bounced back. Alek has the talent to return better than before

  13. Hopefully he bounces back.

Good to acknowledge Halladay had one of the worst years ever as a pitcher before being sent down to rebuild himself as a pitcher.

  14. We haven’t seen the last of him, I have faith he’ll get sorted out eventually and come back better than ever.

  15. Oh good. I hope he sees this for what it is, an opportunity to reset under low pressure conditions. I’m very confident that he will return to form.

  16. It’s about time. Manoah clearly could never keep pace with the pitch clock and it threw everything off. Hopefully he gets into better condition and regains his mechanics/confidence without so many eyes on him, and becomes an ace again. Sucks to watch him scuffle like this when everybody knows he can be so much better

  17. I just got some great tickets for Saturday’s game, and I gotta say I’m relieved he won’t be pitching. Poor guy.

  18. I just feel for him as a person and wish him the best. Even if he never regains his form. I just hope he’s doing ok. Alek, we love you. We hope to see you back soon.
