    **Scoring Titles:** Gervin won four NBA scoring titles during his time with the Spurs (1978, 1979, 1980, 1982), which was the most in the league at the time of his retirement.

    **Finger Roll:** Gervin was famous for his smooth finger roll shot, which he could execute from a variety of angles and distances. It became one of his signature moves and is still associated with him today.

    **ABA to NBA:** Gervin was a key player in the Spurs’ transition from the American Basketball Association (ABA) to the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1976.

    **All-Star Appearances:** Gervin was selected to the NBA All-Star game 9 times during his career with the Spurs.

    **Record Performance:** On April 9, 1978, Gervin scored 63 points in a game against the New Orleans Jazz, setting a new Spurs record. Incredibly, 33 of those points came in a single quarter! Additionlly, this also won him the Scoring Title!

    **Retired Number:** In recognition of his contributions to the team, the Spurs retired Gervin’s number 44 jersey in 1987.

    **Hall of Fame:** Gervin was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
