Committed NBA Players to Team USA this summer…

Do we think trae is gonna be committed? Players like Bobby Portis certainly aren’t the pinnacle of what team USA can offer… I remember trae being mad about not being selected for the previous Olympics… maybe he’ll commit later down the line…

  1. People need to stop bitching about guys like Portis and Reaves making it over trae. They don’t play the same position so they aren’t even competing for the same roster spots.

It does look like Hali and Brunson were picked over trae though so if you want to complain about something, that’s where you start. Definitely an argument to be made that those guys fit international play and even more so, the team USA style than Trae does. A lot of ball movement, switch everything on defense. Not really staples of Traes game. Not saying they’re more talented than him or better players, but they do fit what that team does better.

Roster isn’t solidified yet though and they will still have to add at least one other guard. Hope trae makes it. Would be cool to see him a part of the international games.

  2. Honestly, I want Trae to make it because he wants it but.. If he doesn’t, I want this disrespect to feed him and watch him go scorched Earth on the league next season 💪💪🔥🔥

  3. End of the day, we know he won’t get injured, he won’t be put in positions to take the last shot and not have the same outcome as Boston, and I’d be ridiculed for missing, let him focus on Quinn and our team, and let’s get 55 wins next year

  4. IDK I think Portis is absolutely the type of player you’d want to be a part of a championship-caliber international team. It’s not 1992 anymore, the US can’t just throw out the 12 most talented players in the league regardless of fit and destroy everyone, there’s a lot of good competition out there and teams that have played together a ton more than the US team will have. Portis is a versatile defender, good shooter and a dog on the boards, he def fits the mold of guys like Tayshaun Prince/Andre Iguodala who have been key pieces on recent gold medal teams.

Would love to see Trae out there but can’t complain about who they have so far, looks like a really solid, fun team.

  5. Putting Trae aside… these are the best the United States of America can put forward in the sport of basketball?
