Are Raptors somehow getting 2nd and 3rd pick?
I’ll be surprised if he opts in, but only a little. Raptors won’t be facing a lot of competition to re-sign him.
I believe if he opts in he’ll be extension eligible as his contract will have run for 3 years? Could be a safer option for him to still get a payday without risking free agency
If he opts in, might allow raptors to explore even more trades or keep him to see how he develops under a season with the new coach, win/win if he accepts
He’d only opt in if he knew the Lakers were trading for him due to the Klutch connections

I don’t see Trent opting out. None of the cap space teams are going to spend $20M+ on him. If someone wants him at that price, he can extend and be traded.
He believes he’s worth more than this but he needs this season to prove it, because last year he finished as a bench player.

Can’t see him opting in for 18.5. Even if raptors and Gary wanted to run it back a year, he should get more than that.
Actually now to think of it, his value is at an all time low and there’s enough bigger names that he probably won’t get a big offer
