  1. Some good, some bad, as expected for a rookie. Good to see him settle in for a bit.

Only time will tell, but the outlook is good.

  2. It turns out its much easier to throw when you have longer than it takes a Patriot’s lineman to cross the line of scrimmage at a full run.

  3. The throw to Woods was the best one by far. Dolphins came with a blitz but it was picked up. Stroud throws a deep out to Woods before Woods has made his break and when the ball arrives it hits Woods in stride as he goes out of bounds.

THAT throw is why he got drafted 2nd overall. Many guys in the NFL cannot make that throw with that timing and anticipation.

  4. I was waiting impatiently. But he delivered. CJ is very accurate. Very catchable football.

  5. Basically as expected. Highly accurate, but all these are one-read plays. He’s staring down Woods on that last pass, but makes a great throw nonetheless.

  6. A couple of thoughts here- Stroud is already starting to elevate this team. Look at the ball placement and precision to get it to guys who aren’t getting much separation. A lot of young QBs might not even take some of those throws thinking that they’re covered but when you can place the ball that well this early on, it allows you to do stuff like that. It’s not easy. Secondly, the OL completely let a guy come off the edge untouched but Stroud managed to deliver just in time despite the double clutch. Can’t have mistakes like that on the OL but I’m glad Stroud was looked in. Finally- that first play I think we’ll see again with some alteration. I can’t wait to see Slowik take successful plays and build deceptively similar looking plays to fool defenses.
