Actual Injury Stats (The Bears are Bellow Average)

A lot of panic today about injuries, I thought I’d clear it up.

[According to ESPN on 8/23](https://www.espn.com/nfl/injuries) the Bears have 9 guys with official statuses (including questionable). That seams like a lot, but the league average is 11.6. Three teams have over double the injuries listed.

We are tied for the 11th least injuries, so well bellow the league median of 11.5.

Of course ESPN is only listing reported official injuries, and the recent tweet that has been going around listed players who didnt not participate. Of course, it also dosen’t list players on other teams who did not participate.

It’s the offseason, so the team is being overly cautious. Reporters know if they make a scary sounding tweet it will get alot of interaction.

All these injuries all sure look scary, but every team is dealing with them, and we go though this in this sub every offseason. It feels high, but this is normal.

  1. Most of the injuries are not worrisome and I think they all play week 1 outside of jenkins

  2. Below* but this being said, idk does anyone else feel like last year with our aggressive practices we were healthier? Coincidence maybe?

  3. It really seems like we are splitting at the seams but it’s gonna be okay.

Sorry I had to illuminate your grammatical error. Although I do agree with your point
