  3. He has looked a ton better the last 20 games, but yeah for 8.5 million we can’t have <30 points and a -18 regardless of your linemates.

  4. I think we need to be realistic as a sub and say – we can be supportive of PLD and admit this is not an ideal start

  5. My take is this is an 8 year contract. The first couples years are tough with the cap the way it is. With the cap going up over the life of his contract, eventually this will be like a 5.5-6.5 AAV in today’s money in a couple years, if that makes sense. In 6-7 years, 8.5/AAV will be the new 5.5/6 AAV. Having said that, yikes he’s off to a bad start.
