  1. I could’ve sworn there was a story out there somewhere about Joe telling Jamarr that if he was there, the bengals were taking him. So, it’s very possible that he did know in a roundabout way.

  2. If he didn’t go to Cincy, then Miami would have taken him with the next pick, so the orange would still have worked in that situation. Now the black on the shoes, not so much. But in spite of the Sewell-Chase debate, based on all the “insider reports” it always seemed inevitable that he was headed here.

That being said, one of the lawyers at the law firm I work at has had a handful of pro-athlete clients, he’s said for the most part the players have a really good idea going into the draft who is going to pick them, even the guys who are middle round picks can usually narrow it down to a handful of teams.

  3. If I remember correctly Rich Eisen said something about that when Ja’marr got drafted on NFLN

  4. I’m positive Burrow told him about it considering they’re friends. I know burrow doesn’t call the shots but it’s not the Bengals didn’t ask him “hey you want Sewell or Chase?” And Burrow obviously said Chase is the man and we’ll go to Super Bowl.

  5. There only 4 players drafted before him and 3 of them were QBs we obviously wouldn’t have had them on the board with Burrow in our pocket. Kyle Pitts at #4 is a bit wild, so maybe he thought he was gonna be a Falco but if Ja’Marr’s agent didn’t know that he was going to be a Bengal he needs a new agent.

  6. It’s almost like his buddy from college was the QB and had asked for him personally.

  7. Burrow and Chase were as easy as draft picks possibly get. Zack has not done good outside of the gimme picks.

  8. Well there was the huge Chase vs. Sewell debate leading up to the draft, plus Chase is friends with Burrow and he probably told Chase
