Huge game for the Flames vs Buffalo today


Buffalo is tied with us, although we have two games in hand. As far as draft lottery positioning, it would be good if they squeeze past us today. Adding to that, Seattle plays Montreal (a winnable game in theory) and The Pens are up on Colorado 2-0 currently. Although knowing the avs that doesn't mean much. If the chips land right we could end up a couple spots lower than we are currently.

I know people don't like to hear this, and it isn't easy to cheer for your team to lose… It's the best thing for the long term success of the team this season and probably next.

  2. I’m fine if they play entertaining games and lose. This year is a wrap, and the only good that can come from the rest of the season is no injuries and a higher draft pick.

    Still cheer for the goals and big saves, though. Can’t help it. 🙂

  6. Do I want the flames to pick high, yes. Would I ever cheer for them to lose, no. I’d rather Buffalo get hot and pass us than for us to lose more.

    All I want to see as we move towards the end of the season is more young guys getting a chance. Honestly I’d rather trade up in the draft than purposesly lose to get there.

  7. I just hope for a fun game to watch. Win or lose, go Flames. This has been a really fun season and way better than last year.

  8. I don’t actively cheer for the team to lose but I’m perfectly okay if they do lose. Kind of a win-win scenario. Either they win and I’m happy because I like when they win or they lose and ultimately it’s a good thing.

    Allows me to watch the games relatively stress free.

    There’s just no way to be worse than some of these teams

  12. Let’s be honest at this point are there any actual huge games? We’re not making playoffs anyways lol.
