This is interesting because the sentiment largely has been that the Pats will draft whoever is left between Maye and Daniels. But if the Commanders did this, and both Maye and Daniels are there at three, what do you think the Pats do?


Yes. Everything is a smokescreen. Yes, nobody knows who will do what except the teams themselves. Yes, you are all tired of the same posts over and over. But until the draft gets here all we have is speculation.

  3. If Maye’s there at 3, we’re drafting Maye.

    If Maye’s gone at 2, the Vikings are drafting JJ at 3.

    I dont expect anything but that on draft night. After todays comments by Mayo, I dont think the Pats are very high on Daniels and they like Maye more.

  4. Daniels can start immediately and would be fun to have a QB that has elite mobility

  7. Agree with your description, this is probably a smokescreen. With that said, if the Commanders actually draft McCarthy I’d wake up all the dogs in the neighborhood with all the laughter I’d do tbh.

  8. I think they’ll want McCarthy or Maye so in that scenario I think they stick and take Maye. Daniels is fun as hell, but I just don’t think they’ll get past his Tyquan Thorntonesque frame.

    Could also see a trade back with a corresponding trade up like the Cardinals did last year if they think they can get Alt, Nabers or MHJ around 5 or 6.

  9. I have no idea who they would take, but I feel pretty confident Ben McAdoo would be strongly pushing for Maye.

  10. I don’t really take stock into anything atp. I remember how Mac Jones was favorited to go 3 around this time a couple of years ago, and CJ Stroud wasn’t going to be a top 2 QB taken (Levis and Richardson supposedly overtook him).

    But if the Commanders end up doing this, it’s hard to see how they pass up Maye. Younger, higher ceiling, better arm talent, and more in line with AVP’s scheme. Tbh, if Maye goes 2…I could see them trading down but I wouldn’t mind taking Daniels either.

  12. I wonder if this actually happened if you could trade with the Giants to 6 and still get 1 of the 2. You’d have to bank on Arizona and Chargers both going WR. Imagine coming out of the draft with Maye and the Giants FRP next year? One can dream..

  13. If that happens then I would expect we could get a kings ransom for 3 because then teams that really like one of them would trade up. 

  15. Trade down because I think the value for getting a choice of me and Daniels will be more than the three first round picks

  17. I think Bears and Commanders select a Guard, Patriots move back 9 spots, select Jayden Daniels or Maye, MHJ, and Joe Alt in the first round. Then go on to win the Superbowl 7 out of the next 9 Superbowls.

  18. Pick either. We don’t know for sure who is going to be better. All this he’s a bust, no he’s a bust talk is getting annoying.

  21. They should draft the players they like and not the guys they don’t. Am I doing this right?

    I would actually prefer marvin harrison junior but I don’t think they’re going to go that route

  26. My boy has come a long way since he was projected to go mid second. I legit thought we could go MHJ and JJ but teams are apparently about to massively overdraft at QB

  27. Take Drake Maye. Jayden Daniels reminds me of Bryce young last year. A skinny guy who had amazing talent in college. Drake is the big guy with the big arm who can also run pretty good.

  28. I will let you know in 3 year if we picked the right guy. I personally don’t care who it is as long as we pick the better one 😉

  29. He even looks like Zach Wilson. I’d love to trade back and still get Maye but that’s just pipe dream
