  1. Lappy was a fucking beast in that OT. Won’t get an apple but damn he did an amazing job protecting the puck in the dzone and losing his man to create the rush.

  2. That image of Stromer with his arms up is gonna be used everywhere for a long time

  3. Can we talk about Lapierre juking Lucas Raymond out of his skates twice in OT? Unsung 2A on Stromer’s winner

  4. #DRUNK CHRIS WAS HERE THE WHOLE TIME LISTENING TO COMMODRES ON VINYL LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOIS MACHINE GUN ON REPEAT FOR STROMEY THE HOMEY

  5. For the first time all season, I really believe in this club. That wasn’t a fluke. We can really do this. Let’s go Caps!!!

  6. According to ESPN, we’re now in the 3rd spot in the metro (for the next 5 minutes or so)

  7. Love seeing all these young fast guys in our lineup making the difference. McMike, Lapierre… Breath of fresh air

  8. This is so much better than expected.

We got younger, got draft picks, got faster, got better, and got into playoff position (with a chance to slot even higher).

I’m so happy hockey season will still be happening as baseball season opens!

  9. Philly and Detroit both with 1 point tonight. Not ideal but our 2 points VERY important

  10. One of my good buddies is a Red Wings first, Caps second guy and I’m a Caps first, Red Wings second guy, and I really want to rub it in his face who’s former Blackhawk won the game for them 😬

  11. There was a wings fan sitting near me taunting me after their 3rd goal so that OT win made me cream a little.

  12. Don’t forget we have two games in hand on the flyers gotta keep It up and grab that spot

  13. McMichael and Lapierre make me excited for the future of this team. The post-Ovi era has been a question mark for a while, but pieces are taking shape and looking promising. Hopefully both of those guys have long, successful careers as caps. We have a lot of young guys that are performing, but those two feel like they’re really stepping up.

Obviously starting Chuck was the right call, but man, I feel for Kuemper. The dudes confidence must be absolutely shot right now. He’s a good goalie, he’s just having a bad season.

Some people forget that goaltending in the NHL is arguably one of the hardest positions in sports. If you’re not 100% mentally on top of your game, pucks are going to end up in the net. It’s so magnified with goalies, because they can’t really hide behind team play to mask a poor game like a skater can.

I just hope the guy can bounce back next season. I’d love to have a real tandem like that again, I don’t think I’ve felt that way since the Holtby/ Grubauer duo.
