I’m very worried about the Cardinals burying themselves early again with the brutal early schedule and all the injuries. The goal should be to scrape out of April somewhere around .500.
Fangraphs has the cardinals winning the division.
Who cares.
We don’t need to win the division. We need to win a wild card and squeak into the playoffs because anything can happen in October!

If we finish 3rd with this pitching staff, I’ll consider that my World Series.
I love the Cardinals…but I can be mad at them as well.
Wow. You’re telling me [this organization right here?](https://x.com/2xbirds/status/863162412819775496?s=46) likes the Cubs. Never saw that coming.
They picked the Cardinals to win the division last year…

I’ll be happy if we just don’t finish in the bottom 5 in the NL
Read Bernie’s article on the projections for the central this year. In short, they’re all over the board. No one knows who the fuck will win the division.
Most of the gamblers say stay off the centrals (most favor the twins in the central, but that’s no lock), if gamblers think it a piss off, it probably is. It’s even, and that’s fine, be a tight race… who cares if all the teams have flaws, young players and a mix of questionable vets at some spots… that’s what makes baseball interesting. The nl west is the same difference only the top four are loaded up, it could wind up a flip flop, has happened before those heavy hitters beat the shit out of each other and all wind up with lower win totals, one of the shit division teams (central) goes nuts on the splits vs weaker teams and wins 95. I didn’t say it was the cards. Could be, has happened before, could be someone else.
