Who is the Diggs misinformation farmer here?

Look I understand that people want to cope and hope for the best when it comes to safeties but there is nothing but negativity when discussing Quandre Diggs and how it’s a positive thing that we moved on. I can’t post all the pictures and data here but to throw some facts at you.

Diggs broken tackle rate was lower in 2023 than it was in 2019. The problem being he was asked to make too many tackles coming down from the top. He had a 23% broken or missed tackle rate both the newer safeties were 17% and 20% but are significantly worse in coverage. (Free safety primary responsibility is coverage).

Give you another example Jerome Baker broken or missed tackle rate was 19% from the linebacker position and his primary responsibility is tackling.

My overall point is Quandre Diggs is an above average safety and I do understand having to move on due to the contract he had but the misinformation saying he’s bad or even celebrating the change like it’s a positive is just not based in reality.

All the information is available on sports info solution data hub. Compiles all the information. Please do not come in here using PFF. That website is…not so good.

  1. if he so good why hasnt he got picked up yet? its a business and he trash bruh move on

  2. I don’t think it’s people necessarily being negative. It’s that we had the most money tied up to our safety position and got very little production from both of them. Now our starting safeties(Love and Jenkins) aren’t stats like Adams and Diggs, but there good players, scheme fits and for half the combined price

  3. I think he was moved on from not because he’s bad but:

    Poor scheme fit for Macdonald
$21M cap hit with only $10M guaranteed
Aging player at a speed centric position

  4. I am glad we moved on from his contract. However, I would 100% be happy if he returned with a lower price tag

  5. This sub doesn’t know ball at all. I still have to argue with ppl that Jordyn Brooks is a good linebacker who can cover. But some people really think Dodson was an upgrade because of PFF ratings lmao.

  6. Also if you payed attention to Diggs on the ladder half of the year like post Cowboys I want to say he checked out and definitely selected when we wanted to tackle but it won’t show up on these stats cause he didn’t “attempt” a tackle

  7. Also I gave up hope when ppl got mad at me for saying Julian Love was terrible in coverage this year and our worst safety overall.

  8. Diggs is not an above average safety bruh.
    Stop dickriding the man.

He’s bad. He’s slower, older, shows less effort, tackles like shit and does nothing to help the run game. He really isn’t a good coverage safety either.

Also you keep comparing his 2019 missed tackle rate to this past season.

He made 1.6 million with us in 2019, and was a beast in coverage and was gotten for a 5th round pick… context matters. No one is gonna stress about a FS making 1.6 million missing tackles while being a beast elsewhere.
