Clark said:

“I dreamt of this moment since I was in second grade, and it's taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to soak it in.”

“The organization has one of the best post players in the entire world. My point guard eyes light up with that”

The Fever taking Clark had been a foregone conclusion since she announced on Feb. 29 she would turn pro. Nearly 17,000 tickets were claimed to watch the draft at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, home to the Fever and the NBA's Indiana Pacers

  1. It’s criminal that Clark is only gonna make $80k a year for the next 4 years. Hopefully the sponsorship money will make up for the WNBA robbing her blind.

  2. Today is a historic day in women’s basketball. The WNBA went from being subsidized by the NBA to being subsidized by Caitlin Clark.

  3. I don’t follow the WNBA, so I was previously unaware of this, but Cameron Brink… wow!

  4. She’s the WNBAs Magic and Bird. Never watched a WNBA game in my life but plan to watch next year. Shes fun to watch

  5. he ain’t getting that call. the trio of Embiid, AD and Bam is enough. KD, Tatum and lebron being there mean PF spots are locked.

they would probably get another guard.

  6. I guarantee now that Clark is in the WNBA, nobody is going to care about her and her popularity is going to fizzle out. Furthermore, nobody cares about the Midwest. Remember when Brittney Griner was a national sensation? Nobody cares about her after a few years.

  7. Huge year for Indiana with the emergence of Hali, the all star weekend and now Clark coming to town as well
