  1. Why do ballparks charge “convenience” fees??? What does that even mean???

  2. Since Lance is pitching I’m assuming there is rain in the forecast tonight in Oakland?

  3. Mets broadcast paid tribute to Whitey in the bottom of the 4th. Very nice stuff, especially from Keith.

  4. I just remembered that I bought an autographed Whitey baseball card last summer.

  5. Now this is a damn good lineup structure. I’d probably swap Noot and Ivan, but that’s nit-picky. But I’m definitely a fan of this lineup

  6. I genuinely think Oli will be remembered as one of the most infuriating managers in Cardinals history

  7. So for somebody like Burleson…he’s a prime candidate to be traded and then start doing good with consistent playing time. He crushed AAA and has shown elite contact skills in the majors. How do we get him a “fair” shot at playing on this team when we have Walker, Scott, Noot, Carlson, Edman, Herrera, Donovan, and Gorman all playing OF/DH? How do we avoid the pitfall of fan/media backlash of trading away an excess player who shows good skills, but it doesn’t appear that we have a place for him?

Similar to Randy, all you ever hear is that we didn’t give him a chance…because he was beneath others on the depth chart, same as Burly. Please, I don’t want snarky answers, I don’t want blind Cardinal bashing. Im asking a legitimate question here. If YOU were calling the shots, how would we approach this? Regardless of how you feel about Burly’s potential in actuality, just assume he’s got 2.5-4 WAR potential with consistent playing time for this exercise.

    Any thoughts?

  8. I guess we’ve reached that point where I am saying, “Oh, good. Siani is starting.”
