[Johnston] Certainly there was talk at some point of starting the Canucks’ first round series as late as April 23, but everything I’m hearing says April 21 now most likely.

   > Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Monday that the Canucks’ first-round series may not start until April 23 and while league sources initially backed up this likelihood, the tune had changed by Tuesday, with an April 21 start now more likely.

   Johnston also talks about the possible rough schedule if we face Nashville.

4. Sure would be great to have confirmed dates. 

5. This makes sense considering the other arena bookings. You’d run into stretches of having multiple 2 day breaks between games 5-6-7 should the series go that late if it starts on the 23rd. Might be one of the more difficult series for the league to book. Vancouver is booked Apr 29, May 1, 4 and 6 (4 and 6 are Pearl Jam and they probably want to dodge taking everything down and trying to get the ice ready in between). Nashville is booked Apr 29 and May 4.

   The first 4 games should be pretty easy, its when they get into games 5-7 where the arenas other commitments can complicate things with a late start.

   So… 21 and 23 at home, 25 and 27 road. Then… 30th for game 5 in Van, May 2 for G6 but then game 7 gets tough. Putting up, taking down and putting up the Pearl Jam stage between 4-6 is probably something they want to avoid but might just have to happen should the series go that long.
