Despite departures, Packers feel O-line ‘in a good space’ for coming season

  1. we lost our worst performing OL, don’t think we will have a hard time replacing someone who was consistently below average.

  2. NO. NO. NO.
We need first rate talent to help Love and Jacob’s. Ron Wolfe had it right. It all starts in the Offensive Line.

  3. Yes we only lost runyan and nijman but the key word there is depth. Having rhyan and Josh as backups is huge. There will be injuries this season so expect Gutey to add possibly 3 new oline men in the draft with those 11 picks.

  4. Best drafting team for finding o line in the middle and late in drafts. Hope they don’t take o line in round 1! Bulaga was meh 😑 and Derek Sherrod was a disaster

  5. I’d say it’s in an ok space. They’ve got a lot of quality starting caliber players, but a lack of competition and depth. Myers is a free agent next year, too.

A long term option at OC, plus competition and depth at OG and OT are a must. Only need to draft one early, but break out the war chest for day 3 OL.

  6. No excuses for not shoring up the Oline in this draft for the next five years

  7. They definitely need more depth, but their starting 5 should be fine, so they should feel pretty good about that unit. Assuming they don’t take any of the day 1 guys or high day 2, I have zero doubts that they’ll still walk away with 2-3 line picks out of their 11 and they’ll probably end up serviceable at worst.

  8. Were heading to a loaded offensive lineman draft with a bunch of QB needy teams in front we should be in a good spot to replace Runyan and potentially Meyers.
