Magic Post-season Disrespect

Hey Orlando!

It seems the oddsmakers have determined using their fancy math that Orlando has the lowest chance of winning the NBA championship among the top 8 seeded teams in the east and the top 9 seeded teams in the West. I don't know about everyone here, but I'm ready for this team's coming out party. The disrespect is unreal. LET'S GO MAGIC

  1. I mean, it’s disrespectful but I understand it for the most part. Almost every WC team has a better record than us, even as the 5th seed in the EC. 76ers would have been over us if not for Embiid being out. HEAT, while I think they stand no chance, at least has veteran leadership and experience on their side. Outside of Milwaukee being so high up and Indy being over us at all, it’s hard to say there’s anything inherently wrong.

  2. Gotta look at the team outside the home lenses. They have some huge question marks. Age and 3 pt shooting. It’s a fair assessment of the team. End of the day we’re all hoping the guys show out but there’s a very real scenario where they don’t and next year they take off with adding another piece.

  3. Tbf any team below Miami has a 0% chance of winning, so where those teams rank is irrelevant

  4. Pacers only have a higher chance on winning the 1st round than the Magic because theyre facing the Bucks with an injured Giannis.

You want more respect? Win more games. Win a play off series. Make a trade to improve the roster. Every other day we have a post about “disrespect” and i dont know why people care so much. We barely avoided the play-in in the weaker eastern conference. We still have obvious flaws and lack of experience. The Cavs wouldve had a much better record, but struggled with a lot of injuries.

  5. Take being a fan out of it, and we have horrible odds because we don’t have a proven scorer. I think the Kings are disrespected worse than us.

Clippers and Timberwolves are a little over rated IMO.

  6. Do we deserve any respect? Respect is earned and we haven’t won a post season series in a loooonnnggg time

  7. You know what? No. The Magic haven’t had a frustrating loss in over 5 days, so I am all in again. The Magic will shock everybody!!!

  8. It’s a hate on Orlando because if you don’t live here you suck and you know it! Lol

  9. Magic fans have been saying this for months. It’ll be a crazy miracle if we win our series against the cavs.

It’s been clear for a while that when the pressure is on, more experienced teams outshine our boys. Nothing wrong with that, they’re very young.

This is going to be amazing experience for the team and I’m very excited that we’ve gotten to this point.

  10. Disrespect? Have you watched our team the past month? These odds seem about right.

  11. We have terrible odds because we would have to play Boston in the second round and Indiana wouldn’t have to face them until the conference finals. Everyone else has a theoretical pathway to avoid Boston. My complaint is with Cleveland’s odds

  12. It’s warranted but can’t believe we’re behind the pelicans and lakers and warriors

  13. It’s not disrespect. This team has done literally nothing in the post season. Respect is earned. Win this series and the narrative will be a bit different.

  14. Team is young hasn’t proven shit and has one of the worst offenses in the league we need to win games if we want respect.

  15. You guys get so obsessed with this perceived lack of respect. 🤦‍♂️

  16. Well GSW had a better chance according to them and got eliminated last night so it would seem anything could happen.

  17. We’re inexperienced and have been playing like absolute ass for a month.

Odds also reflect where people are actually betting their money and nobody is betting on Orlando.

  18. I think the biggest barrier is that we would have to play Boston in round 2. That significantly lowers our odds based on the way odds are usually created.
