  1. Curious to see what else is involved but I can’t complain about a 2023 first when it’s unlikely we would’ve re-signed him after the season.

Can’t wait to see Chubb ball out in Miami. love that guy.

  2. I’ll take a first round pick for next year at least. Hopefully there’s a little more to it and maybe Paton was able to secure a second pick.

Edit: 1st, 4th, and Chase Edmonds for Chubb and a 5th. Seems like a balanced trade.

  3. I want to see the rest of the package but Chubb for a first is better than I was expecting. Not super mad at this.

  4. If SF somehow falls apart, maybe we can angle ourselves to CJ Stroud or something

  5. I’m okay with this, we have good depth there and badly needed some draft capital. Interested to see the other compensation.

  6. I’m cool with this, we have a lot of pass rushers and can’t keep them all, and we’ll need to pay Dre’Mont soon

  7. Full trade terms:

    MIA trades:
    ⁃2023 1st (SF pick)
    ⁃2024 4th
    ⁃RB Chase Edmonds

    DEN trades:
    ⁃OLB Bradley Chubb
    ⁃2025 5th

  8. Chase Edmunds should be cut immediately right? I can’t imagine we waste a roster spot on a guy that’s carried the ball 42 time for 120 yards this year

  9. Hope Chubb does work in Miami but I think this is a good trade. We have good pass rushers, we save some cap space for possible Chubb extension, and we got a pick back. Wonder what else is in the package. A second/third round pick would be huge.

  10. It’s like fans have forgotten he isn’t able to stay healthy half the time. This is the first season he’s not had any issues. I’d rather not give a long term contract that he isn’t able to potentially live up to.

  11. Sucks, but it’s the right move. The Broncos didn’t have the cap space to bring him back, combine that with the Broncos having a roster that’s severely lackluster in some areas(OL and WR in particular IMO)and before now had very little means of getting better.

  12. Always a shame to trade away a good player but at least we got good value

But now I have to start caring about the draft again 🙄

  13. Dolphins fan here, I haven’t paid much attention to Chubb or his production. How good is he?

  14. Damn, I’ll miss you Chubb. But a first round pick is a nice pickup for the team

  15. Paton wildly fucked up Russ and Hackett, but I’m still on the side that he nailed everything else

  16. I’ll say what one of my product mentors told me long ago. The best time to sell is when you least want to. I think that holds true here as well. He’s been great recently, but injuries have really taken a chunk out of his total play time in the past. This is selling high when you least want to.

  17. Its kinda ironic how people are saying that they are gonna miss him yet all the time that he was on the team it was always the focal point of how he was a bust and how he sucked.

I will truly miss him, but the compensation it was pretty good and Baron Browning and Gregory looks like the tandem for the future

  18. Chubb is a tremendous talent when he’s on the field and he’s been balling out this year. Wishing him the best of luck in Miami and I hope he continues to play at a high level. This move is clear acknowledgement from our FO that we are not contending this year. I get it, we probably wouldn’t have re-signed Chubb… but we likely we would have kept him if we were at the top of our division.

With that being said… holy fuck we have a 1st round pick 😭 thank you Paton. I can finally look at top prospects again. We have clear needs at OL, WR (potentially), and CB – along with secondary needs like LB and DL. We are stuck with Russ for the foreseeable future. The MIA pick via SF may or may not be top 10 by the end of the year, but one can hope! I also like Edmonds as a player – he’s a versatile back who can really contribute in the passing game.

  19. Loved to keep Chubb, but his future w/ the injuries is so unknown and the big contract he would command. Wish we could have gotten an offensive lineman. Wondering if the Edmond addition opens the potential for Gordon to be traded

  20. I can’t believe we got a first, fourth, and a player for him.

Sucks that he waited until his contract year to be a great player. I’ll miss him.

  21. This is a very solid move by Paton. We’re back in the first round and we traded from a position of strength and surplus and got a good return for a guy who was likely to be playing elsewhere next season anyway.

Getting Edmonds also possibly bolsters the RB room, especially if there’s another move to trade Gordon or something in the works.

  22. Great fucking move! That’s a lot of capital and shows that Paton wasn’t going to sign him for market value. Huge move that Elway would never have the balls to do.
