  1. Last I heard pension was like 170k a year.. I know a guy who hit ten years and retired that day

  2. I guess I am wondering what the big deal about a pension is when you have earned $91 million in your big-league career

  3. He ranks 52nd in number of games played among active players with 1,100 games. Players with less years but more games include Lindor, Odor, Mookie, Cesar Hernandez, Eugenio Suarez, and Jose Abreau (who has 1327 games).

I’ve never heard of César Hernández I must admit.

  4. Don’t you also get a ‘golden ticket’ that gets you tickets to any regular season game when you reach 10 years?

  5. I always used his batting stance in mlb the show. Nothing too flashy, but gets the job done. <3

  6. Doesn’t he now have 10 and 5 rights since he has 10 years of mlb experience and 5 were for the same team so he basically has a no trade clause now

  7. I’ll always think fondly of Wil, trading him directly led to our two AL titles and WS.

  8. I get taking everything they can from owners. But, wouldn’t it be cool if the players redistributed that pension $$ (on grounds that they’ve already made $10s or $100s of millions) to minor leaguers, guys that never hit free agency, etc?
