1. Should we blow the team up and hold an expansion draft under the rules the Knights had?

2. I’ve honestly mellowed on this somewhat. Credit is owed for the moves Vegas has made but also Vegas (and Seattle) have had an unprecedentedly favourable expansion draft. No other expansion team in NHL history had even close to the amount of talent that this last batch has had, and obviously many teams also made so many mistakes with the expansion process *cough* Florida so that helped too.

   Obviously it fucking sucks that they win so early and we have not yet, but they also got dealt a nearly winning hand right away while we have definitely never ever ever been helped out in any way by luck or the NHL in general

3. Vegas’ management team is smart and ruthless and they deserve a Cup. Only 6 players remain from that expansion draft and the rest was hand built by McPhee with aggressive moves that worked.

11. Canucks have had THREE chances to win the cup. Can’t blame Vegas for winning on their 2nd attempt.

12. I get it, but I don’t know what time in the league has to do with it. In fact I would say that Vegas hasn’t had long enough to completely destroy themselves with long bad contracts and continue the cycle of pain trying to salvage the situation.

13. They were given a team of outcasts who weren’t exactly top tier players at the time and no one expected them to do anything.

    They made it work. Loyalty may mean very little to Vegas management but they have every justification for it now.

14. The pain was already there and started a long time ago.

15. I mean, a bunch of their key players were literally gifted to them by Florida in probably the most blatant display of asset evaluation and mismanagement in the modern NHL. The lesson here is to avoid that.

18. I accepted that Vegas would win the cup after game 4, so good for them I guess. This is the life we have chosen as fans of this trash tier team.

20. It does suck that teams of the past literally had to get players who no one in there right mind would ice while Vegas had a cherry of picking of players who had great potential but no room. Also shrewd moves by the GM also great ownership who allowed the GM to build the team and luck have it that a capable coach was available. This has changed the dynamic of how clubs will build a club and Aqua is either going to allow his GM do his job or we will sadly go into dark times.

21. I don’t care. It was obvious we failed to see we needed to rebuild and vegas amassed great talent and made good moves. It was obviously going to happen

22. Proof that building a team takes at least 6 years. We need more patience for the Canucks.

23. To be fair Vegas had it good for their expansion draft. This really does highlight how incompetent most management groups in van have been from day 1 though

24. This just makes me angrier at management and ownership for fucking up for decades rather than jealousy over the six year old team getting their first cup before us.
