6. My brother and I were FaceTiming when the trade went through.

   It’s our happiest moment as Bears fans together.

   He’s now switched to Williams and I’m more “I trust Poles to make the right choice” but damn. We were fucking HYPED

7. i was so scared we were going to pick mac jones. me and my boy wanted to draft JF1 since early college but he was always the number 2 qb behind tlaw. Was pretty hyped when he dropped even ft my boy at work and we were hella hyped 😂😂

I went to my neighborhood bar watch the draft with friends as I typically do, though this time FaceTiming with my son when the draft began (we both lived in Georgia, had watched Justin play high school ball, and wanted no one but Justin Fields, no matter how unlikely that seemed leading up to the draft, no matter all the UGA fans still jaded about him).

   Anyway, the bar was loud and I couldn’t quite figure out when the trade went through, but my son began to freak out. Once I realized what was happening (the Bears were now on the clock), both our eyes welled up in disbelief. When the pick was announced, we fucking lost it. I bought shots for the bar, the bar bought me shots, I got so hammered I can still remember the party, the hangover, the juxtaposition to what that moment felt like compared to when Mitch Trubisky got drafted (ended up putting a beer bottle through a wall and getting kicked out).

   One of my happiest Bear memories. Here hoping more to come.

    So, and hear me out, could it be coaching? Nagy, Lazer, Getsy is not the best trifecta of football minds to start your career with.
